Welcome to Surrey T'ai Chi, part of the Taoist Cultural Arts Association


We practice Lee Style T'ai Chi as taught by Professor Chee Soo. Lee style is one of the oldest forms to Taoist training, brought to the West in the 1930s.


T'ai Chi is a form of moving meditation from ancient China. It is based on the principles of Taoist philosophy, the exercises are slow, relaxed and flowing, combined with deep breathing to generate Chi or internal energy. T'ai Chi promotes health, long life and mental focus.


The class is suitable for all abilities young and old and helps to develop flexibility, posture and internal strength.
